Verge by Lidia Yuknovitch - This aptly named collection of short stories explores those moments when beautifully flawed people are on the edge of greatness, corruption, love and even death. The water imagery that Yuknovitch uses so well is omnipresent, and I am here for it. As a fan of her writing, grabbing this book on my way to the airport was a no-brainer.
