I’m a New York-born and bred, Los Angeles-based, globally-curious lifestyle journalist who’s written for The New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, California Home + Design, Interiors, Business of Home, Luxe, Design Los Angeles and Angeleno.

ERIKA ABRAMs, Chief PRODUCTION WIZARD

I’m a Los Angeles native and a serial producer adept at bridging multiple points of view, igniting community, and building creative culture - with an obsession for tacos and mezcal.  In my past life I’ve been the North American Director of Production for a visual effects company where I oversaw 300+ creatives. In my current life, I help creative companies optimize their internal cultures and processes so they can feel good and do good.

I’m a publicist and serial organizer of fun things. For work, I run Secret Agent. For fun, I run the LA Design Festival. As a citizen of the world with chronic wanderlust, I have a deep and abiding love of travel, design, surfing, and eating. Back in the day, I wrote semi-regularly for Inhabitat, Curbed LA, and American Express OPEN Forum.

Affectionately known as #christinemachine by my colleagues, I’m a seasoned communications professional. When I’m not pushing design stories at Secret Agent or programming for the LA Design Festival, you can find me chasing my energetic Queensland Heeler rescue or camping in the mountains.
